2,561 COVID-19 infections on Wednesday (04); 82 COVID deaths confirmed for Tuesday (03)

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka recorded a total of 2,561 COVID-19 infections on Wednesday (04), reported the Department of Government Information.
2,543 of these infections are from the Post-Avurudu Cluster while the other 18 are those who returned from overseas and tested positive for COVID-19.
Accordingly, a total of 29,856 COVID-19 patients are being treated in hospital.
The Director General of Health Services confirmed 82 COVID-19 deaths for Tuesday (03).
Total fatalities in Sri Lanka now stands at 4,727.
