COLOMBO (News 1st); Another 01 million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine arrived in Sri Lanka on Sunday (04).
Accordingly, Sri Lanka has received a total of 4.1 million doses of the Chinese vaccine.
In addition 26,000 doses of the US made Pfizer vaccine will arrive in Sri Lanka on Monday (05).
Pfizer Inc., an American multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology corporation will provide 78,000 doses of its COVID-19 vaccines in July.
Earlier, State Minister (Professor) Channa Jayasumana said 26,000 doses will be provided per week, for three weeks in July.
He said the Pfizer vaccine doses will also be used as the second jab for those who received the first AstraZeneca dose.
