COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka announced that the travel restrictions will be lifted at 04 AM on June 21st.

However, inter-provincial travel restrictions will continue to remain in effect and only those involved in essential services can cross the provincial boundary for a valid reason, said Army Commander General Shavendra Silva on Friday (18).

Parties, events, meetings, and public gatherings are prohibited until further notice, he stressed.

Those employed in the public sector are required to continue working as per the present work schedule, he added.
