COLOMBO (News 1st); Another consignment of the Russian Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine will reach Sri Lanka on Tuesday (25), said State Minister Professor Channa Jayasumana.

Speaking to News 1st, the State Minister said the batch of 185,000 doses of the Russian vaccine will be the first of many consignments expected by Sri Lanka, adding that a batch of the Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in Sri Lanka every month from June.

The State Minister went on to note that Sri Lankan Missions overseas have been informed to commence dialogue with the relevant countries in obtaining vaccines if those countries are willing to donate extra doses of the available vaccine.
