Life Saving Championship held in Colombo

COLOMBO (News1st): The 34th edition of the Intermediate and Inter-Club Life Saving Championship was held at the Mount Lavinia beach today. The event was organized by Sri Lanka Life Saving. "Altogether 23 teams participated today with more than 200 athletes," Asanka Nanayakkara, the President of Sri Lanka Life Saving said. He added that the participants are volunteers who have served during natural disasters in the country. The results of the event are as follows;

Champions: Old Nalanda Aquatic Sport & Life Saving Club Runners Up: Sri Lanka Police 'A' 3rd Place: Sri Lanka Air Force
  • Overall Championship Inter-Club (Women)
Champions: Sri Lanka Air Force Runners Up: Kelaniya Life Saving Club 3rd Place: Janadhipathi Balika Vidyalaya
  • Overall Championship Intermediate (Men)
Champions: Sri Lanka Police Runners Up: Sea Lion Club 3rd Place: Surf Club
