Public laments rising cost of living

COLOMBO (News1st): The public has complained about the rising cost of living, although the government slashed prices of 27 essential commodities. "Although the decisions are made, they are not communicated to the shops," one local complained. Our reporters toured the streets of the country to listen to the voices of the people. "The cost of living is unbearable. I am on my way to purchase medicine from the Pharmacy. We do not have a choice," another local claimed.
