Daily reported COVID cases hit new record in SL; 976 cases on Tuesday

Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka's daily total of reported COVID-19 cases hit a new record on Tuesday (09) as 976 coronavirus infected people were detected.

971 of these cases were from the Peliyagoda Cluster and 04 cases were from the Prison Cluster. The remaining COVID-19 cases was a returnee from the Kuwait. According to the Department of Government Information the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka is at 71,211 with 65,053 recoveries. At present there are 5,788 infected patients being treated at hospitals for the coronavirus.
