IMF Begins Seventh Review Discussions With Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st): Representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) who arrived in Sri Lanka have begun discussions with officials of the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank.

The IMF team is in the country to conduct discussions on the seventh review of Sri Lanka’s loan program.

The Ministry of Finance said the IMF representatives will also hold discussions with officials of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, power sector regulatory bodies and the Department of Inland Revenue.

The discussions are scheduled to continue until the 23rd of September.
