Three arrested over cannabis cultivation

COLOMBO (News1st): Three suspects were arrested for cultivating cannabis across five land plots in Thanamalwila on Sunday, police said. "The Special Task Force (STF) had recovered 17,000 cannabis plants during a raid," police spokesperson Ajith Rohana told reporters. He added that a four-acre cannabis cultivation had been raided the previous day and that all plants have been destroyed during the operation. "The STF has identified the perpetrators behind the cultivation. They have not been arrested so far," Rohana noted.
