COLOMBO(News 1st): The United National Party claimed that the crisis over the cremation of the bodies of people who died due to COVID-19 has become a national and international issue that surpasses the subject of human right violation.

The UNP announced that the government has failed to come up with a solution.

The statement said the government should prioritize the advice of religious leaders.

The statement further added that the Mahanayake Theros and the archbishop were informed of UNP’s stance on the matter.
