CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS SPIRITUALLY; LEND A HAND TO THOSE IN NEED: CARDINAL

COLOMBO (News 1st): The main Christmas Eve Mass was conducted at midnight (Dec. 24) by Colombo Archbishop - His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith at the St. Sebastian's National Shrine in Kandana with limited participation of devotees in adherence to COVID-19 regulations. "At a time when the global COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the people, Christmas should be celebrated in a humble manner, whilst putting the needs of the communities at risk of the pandemic first," His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith said. His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith requested the people to ensure the safety of all citizens in the country when celebrating Christmas this year. "Give prominence to spirituality when celebrating Christmas this year. Celebrate it with your family. If you can make donations to few neighboring families who are in need and allow them to celebrate with you," His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith reiterated in his message to mark Christmas.
