26 schools in Galle Education Zone closed till Friday (11)

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Galle Education Zone on Tuesday (Dec. 08) decided to extend the two-day holiday declared for 26 schools in the Galle Education Zone given the risk of COVID-19, officials said. "26 schools in Galle Education Zone will remain closed till Friday (Dec. 11) taking into account the risk in the spread of COVID-19 in the region," Nimal Dissanayake, the Southern Province - Director of Education told News 1st on Tuesday (Dec. 08). According to Dissanayake, schools in the Galle Education Zone will re-open on Monday (Dec. 14).
