COLOMBO (News 1st): The Presidential Task Force on Economic Revival and Poverty Eradication convened under the auspices of the head of the Task Force, Basil Rajapaksa on Friday (Nov. 27).
A decision was reached to commence the series of meetings on the 2021 Budget at the provincial level under the "WEDA SAMAGA YALI GAMATA" (වැඩ සමඟ යළි ගමට) development programme.
During the meeting held today (Nov. 27), Basil Rajapaksa pointed out that the Budget this time is not the budget of an individual person.
This time the Budget was prepared following lengthy discussions on the country's development and future, with correct and accurate decisions, he noted.
Furthermore, Basil Rajapaksa emphasized the need to reach out to the people at the village level with the development projects presented under the new budget.
The tourism industry will be brought back to normalcy by next year, following discussions on the arrival of foreign tourists with the Ministry of Health, Basil Rajapaksa further noted.
