Colombo (News 1st); Health authorities said 2,487 hospital beds were put in place to facilitate COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka.
Dr. Hemantha Herath, Acting Deputy Director-General of Health Services told News 1st on Tuesday (20), several more hospitals will be added to the national network to cater to COVID-19 cases.
He further said the laboratory tests are never 100% accurate adding the viral load in recovered patients is very low when PCR tests are conducted for the second and third time.
He said a person tests negative for the PCR tests when the viral load is not detected.
