Scores injured after bus plunges into precipice along Hatton - Dayagama Road

Colombo (News 1st); 51 people including 24 school children were injured and hospitalized after a private bus veered off the road and crashed into a precipice along the Hatton - Dayagama Road on Friday (02) morning.

The injured were rushed to Dikoya Hospital and one of them in critical condition was transferred to the Kandy General Hospital.

Locals claim the dilapidated nature of the road could have resulted in the accident.
