FSP raises concerns over 20th amendment

COLOMBO (News1st): The Frontline Socialist Party has raised concerns over the draft 20th amendment on the provisions that would allow the people to challenge government acts at the Supreme Court. Dr Pubudu Jayakody, the propaganda secretary had said that the draft 20th amendment had reduced the number of days given to citizens to challenge an Act in court. "This is a violation of the democratic rights of the working class in the country," Jayakody said on Thursday. He stressed that this is a dangerous situation for the people.
