Dilan says will accept ministry on monkeys

COLOMBO (News1st): MP Dilan Perera has said he is willing to accept a ministerial position to curb issues posed by monkeys to crops. "...it is we who know about the problems caused by monkeys," Perera, the government parliamentarian said on Sunday. He warned that the day monkeys go to parliament would not be far off if lawmakers remain quiet about the matter. The parliamentarian stressed that a minister is required to minimize the damages that are being caused by monkeys.
