Warrant issued for the arrest of Ex-Magistrate's Security Officer

Colombo (News 1st): Colombo High Court Judge Gihan Kulatunga on Friday (18) issued a warrant for the arrest of a Police Constable who served in the Private Security Detail of Ex-Magistrate Thilina Gamage.

The warrant was issued as he failed to appear in court and admitted himself in the hospital, at a time when the summons was already issued to be present in court to provide evidence for the prosecution.

The Colombo High Court Judge ordered the warrant to be enforced once the Police Constable, identified as Dissanayake attached to the Puttlam Division, leaves the hospital.

The Puttlam Hospital officials were ordered by the court to produce a comprehensive report on the Police Constables' health condition.

The case was postponed to the 12th of October.
