Protest against moves to relocate Ratnapura labour office

COLOMBO (News1st): A protest staged against moves to relocate the Ratnapura labour office in Avissawella, continued for the second day on Thursday. The demonstration had been staged by obstructing the Ratnapura - Colombo main road. This was although police informed protestors that a court order had been issued against the public gathering, and warned of taking legal action against them. The protestors had dispersed after the assistant superintendent of the Ratnapura police vowed to intervene and resolve this issue.
