COLOMBO (News1st): The leadership of the United National Party must be changed, attorney-at-law Chrishmal Warnasuriya said on Wednesday.

“However, the solution to this is not chasing the current leader away by levelling accusations against him and leaving behind a few people to fight for the post,” Warnasuriya said during a media briefing.

He added that a final decision on this must be made by all those who worked for the UNP during the election campaign, and the party’s Working Committee.

“He (Ranil) should nominate a new leader while functioning on an advisory level,” the lawyer said.
