List of graduates recruited to be published online today: PMD

COLOMBO (News 1st): The list of graduates who will receive employment will be published today (Aug 17), on the official website of the Ministry of Public Administration, the President's Media Division said. "Selected graduates should report to work at their nearest Divisional Secretariat on the 2nd of September 2020," Mohan Samaranayake, the Director-General of Presidential Media said on Monday (Aug 17). According to Mohan Samaranayake, the appointment letters of the selected graduates will be forwarded to the respective recipients by the Ministry of Public Administration in the future. The programme to employ 50,000 graduates and 100,000 low-income earners, was formulated within weeks after President Gotabaya Rajapaksa assumed office in November 2019. Following the announcement of the 2020 Parliamentary Election, Chairman of the National Election Commission directed to suspend the program temporarily.
