Man sentenced to death for 1995 murder finally arrested after 10 years on the run

The man who is now 52 years old was sentenced to death a decade earlier, for stabbing to death an individual in Sooriyawewa in 1995 and had a warrant against him.

Sri Lanka Police said the man who was evading police and court was finally nabbed on Sunday in Bandaragama and he was posing as a road construction contractor living in Bandaragama.
