Colombo (News 1st); A total of 146 people from Kurunegala and Nikawewa have been moved to two separate
quarantine
facilities, as it was reported they had attended a meeting and come into contact with a COVID-19 patient, confirmed Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe in a statement issued by the Government Information Department.
Further, another 150 people who had come into contact with the two confirmed COVID-19 cases in Kundasale were quarantined, Dr. Jasinghe said, while several families in Kegalle linked to one of the Kundasale cases were also quarantined.
In addition another 100 people in Aparekka, Matara are undergoing quarantine.
Dr. Anil Jasinghe said 395 samples obtained from Rajanganaya over the past two days tested negative to COVID-19 PCR tests while all samples of people connected to the incident at a private hospital in Ragama also came back negative to COVID-19.
