The latest Electricity Bill received by consumers is the correct bill that needs to be settled, the Ceylon Electricity Board stated. The consumers are charged in the latest bill according to the number of units used, the CEB said. If a consumer had received a bill higher than what was received in February 2020, the said bill can be settled in installments, a statement from the Ministry of Power and Energy noted. The Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board Vijitha Herath was quoted by the Minister Power and Energy Ministry as saying the supply of electricity would not be disconnected even if the latest bill is settled in installments.
