COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka risen to 1,857

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka stands at 1,857

22 COVID-19 cases were reported on Monday (June 08)

The Government Information Department said, of the 22 patients discovered yesterday, 10 were Navy personnel, 08 were returnees from Kuwait, and 04 were returnees from Chennai, India.

Currently there are 856 active COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

Meanwhile, 49 patients were released from hospitals on Monday after recovering from the virus bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 990.
