6 Ukrainian engineers arrive in the island to review SLAF Antonov Aircraft

COLOMBO (News 1st): Six Aircraft Engineers from Ukraine arrived in the island on Friday to review the lifespan expired Antonov Aircraft belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force. “The viable period for the operation of 3 aircraft including Antonov and A.N.-32 is over” Air Force Spokesperson Group Captain Dushan Seneviratne said. The Air Force Spokesperson stated that Engineers from the company that manufactured the aircraft had arrived in the island to review the current state of the aircraft before taking them back to Ukraine, where they will be fully repaired.
