COLOMBO (News1st): The curfew in the four high-risk districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, and Puttalam has been extended until May 11, the President’s Office said.
Issuing a statement, the President’s Office noted that the curfew in the other districts will be lifted at 5 am on May 4 and will be re-imposed at 8 pm on the same day and ‘night curfew’ will continue till May 6.
Islandwide curfew will be in effect from 8 pm on May 6 and will continue to be in effect until 5 am on May 11.
The President’s Office said that public and private sector companies in the high-risk districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, and Puttalam can resume operations on May 11.
Accordingly, private companies can resume operations at 10 am, while employers can choose the number of workers who should report to work.
The statement noted that public transport services will limit operations to commute employees to work.
