1754 arrested for violating police curfew

COLOMBO (News1st): The Police have arrested 1,754 people for violating police curfew between 6:00 pm last Friday 20th March until 6:00 this morning. Police said that 447 vehicles including motorcycles and three-wheelers which had travelled without a valid curfew permit, had been seized during this period. Fifteen others were arrested for failing to follow the instructions issued by health authorities during the period of curfew and obstructing the government's quarantining process.
