Police curfew re-imposed in several police divisions of Puttalam, Chilaw and Negombo-Kochchikade,

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police curfew was re-imposed, for 11 police divisions of Puttalam, 7 police divisions of Chilaw and the police jurisdiction area of Negombo-Kochchikade police station, on Thursday (19th) afternoon, until further notice.

The curfew was imposed in a bid to assist the containment efforts of COVID-19. Accordingly, in the Puttalam police division, the curfew is in effect, in Puttalam, Anamaduwa, Kalpitiya, Karuwalagaswewa, Mundalama, Nawaththegama, Palma, Wanathawilluwa, Udappuwa, Norochcholei and Saliya-wewa. In the Chilaw Police division, the curfew is in effect Chilaw, Dankotuwa, Koswatta, Madampe, Marawila, Wennapuwa and Aaarachchikattuwa. The Police headquarters said, the curfew will also be in effect in the Negombo-Kochchikade police jurisdiction area.
