New date for postal voting applications

Colombo (News 1st) - Chairman of the National Elections Comission Mahinda Deshapriya, said, the final date for the submission of postal voting applications will be announced later. The final date for the submission of postal voting applications was scheduled for today, however, as a result of the three-day special holiday declared by the government a new date will be announced, after considering the government's action plan in combating COVID-19. Commissioner Deshapriya, further noted that the applications submitted in the coming days will be considered as those submitted by today, the 17th of March.
