Acting CDS & Army Commander is Head of COVID-19 OPS Centre

Acting Chief of Defence Staff & Army Commander, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva was appointed as the Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak. The center was established with the objective of ensuring public health and other services are well coordinated with preventive and managerial measures to ensure the welfare of the public.
