Responding to this proposal, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa thanked the Indian Prime Minister for his initiative and said Sri Lanka is ready to join the discussion & share our learnings & best practices, and to learn from other SAARC members as well.I would like to propose that the leadership of SAARC nations chalk out a strong strategy to fight Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the 33 Sri Lankan students who were flown back to the country have penned a letter to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, thanking the president for his straight forward decision.
