NEC granted Rs. 7000 million for election expenses

COLOMBO (News 1st):- The National Elections Commission has been granted with over Rs. 7000 million as expenses for the General election through provisions of the general treasury. Commissioner-General of the NEC, Saman Sri Rathnayake said that the amount was granted after taking into consideration the expense reports submitted by the elections commission. Meanwhile, the Commissioner-General said that a survey has begun to identify the officials and the vehicles that are due to be used for the elections.
