Colombo (News 1st) – A total of 87 Champion Sailors equipped with 70 sailing boats took to the sea off Galle Face Green to compete against each other for the coveted for the Admiral Clancy Fernando Memorial Championship.

The weekend in Colombo was taken by storm with sails in blue and white taking control of the wind at sea as the Sri Lanka Navy organized Navy Cup 2020 was in full swing from morning to evening.

News 1st was the media sponsor for the entire weekend event, which was supported by the Yachting Association of Sri Lanka.

According to Sri Lanka Navy, the objective of the Regatta was to promote sailing among school children and to attract more sporting events to Sri Lanka, especially to Galle Face Green.
