Colombo (News 1st) – Notice has been issued on Former Magistrate Thilina Gamage to appear before the Presidential Commission on Political Prosecution today (March 2).

The former magistrate has been summoned before the commission based on a complaint that he had lodged. In his complaint, he notes that he lost his job due to political influence and due to false charges of illegally pawning an elephant calf.

The Director-General of the Wildlife Department, as well as an official attached to the department, have also been summoned before the commission today.  A spokesperson attached to the commission note that the General Secretary of parliament or an official of Parliament has also been ordered to appear before the commission.
