Another section of the Southern expressway opened to the public

COLOMBO (News 1st):- The Road Development Authority states that the section of the expressway from Barawakumbuka to Hambantota will be opened for the general public from tomorrow (February 23). Thereby, 21.8km from Barawakumbuka-Mattala across Andarawewa and 16.6 km from Andarawewa - Hambantota will be opened to the public. During the recent Presidential election, this area of the Southern expressway was opened even before it was duly completed. However, subject Minister Johnston Fernando had then instructed officials to finish the remaining construction activities of the expressway as well.
