Bribery Case against Wimal W. to go ahead

Colombo (News 1st): A case filed against Minister Wimal Weerawansa by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption will be taken up for examination from the 07th of September by the Colombo High Court. The order was made yesterday by Colombo High Court Judge Pradeep Hettiarachchi on the case filed under the charges of owning property to the tune of 75 Million Rupees during his 05 years as a Minister in the Mahinda Rajapaksa government – property which cannot be obtained with his salary as a Minister or means of income which existed at the time. Summons were issued on the Second the Third witnesses in the prosecution to be present on the 07th of September in court.
