Two arrested with nearly 2800 cigarattes in STF raid

COLOMBO (News 1st):- In a raid carried out by the Police STF, one person was arrested with a stock of illegal cigarettes from the Robert Gunawardene Mawatha, Baththaramulla. 2000 cigarettes were found from the suspect's possession. Upon interrogating the arrested suspect, the STF was able to arrest another suspect along with 800 illegal cigarettes. Further, the STF has also seized a foreign unlicensed firearm, during the arrest of the second suspect. The suspects aged, 31 and 53 have been identified as residents of Thalangama and Koswaththa. They are due to be presented before the Kaduwela Magistrate Court today (February 8).
