Rice price increase is temporary: State Min. Anura Priyadashana Yapa

Colombo (News 1st): State Minister of Internal Trade Anura Priyadarshana Yapa said the increase in rice prices in the local market is temporary because the government put a stop to importing excess rice stocks to the country. He said when domestic rice production returns to normalcy, the price of rice will also reduce gradually. The State Minister said the prices of goods and services will also reduce ahead of the festive season.
