Venerable Magalkande Sudantha Thero speaks out on RW's excessive security personnel

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Secretary of the Sinhala Ravaya Movement, Venerable Magalkande Sudantha Thero convening a media briefing held in Kalutara said:

"Mahindananda Aluthgamage has lodged a complaint at the Colombo Crimes Division. The question is that Ranil Wickremesinghe has not yet been called to make a statement. Is Ranil Wickremesinghe afraid? Now we ask, who is this Wickremesinghe? He is simply just a parliament minister. Let's take a look at what we are trying to reveal. As we speak there are 200 officers in place for Ranil Wickremesinghe's protection but a parliamentarian can have only 4 officers, there's an excess of 196 officers in this case. What sort of crimes are they comitting?" - he questions.

He further continued to say that it is the public's tax money that they use to pay the salaries of these 200 officers who are employed for Ranil Wickremesinghe's security. The Thero also said that apart from this that there are 17 navy officers and 8 state-owned vehicles in his possession. He questions the government how he is granted all these privileges and for whose benefit if Ranil Wickremesinghe is neither the prime minister nor the opposition leader.
