Training Colleges to be converted to degree offering institutes

Colombo (News 1st): The Ministry of Education stated, they have begun the initial studies on whether or not training colleges of education can be converted to degree offering institutes. The Secretary to the Ministry, M.H.M Chithrananda said, a committee has already been established to conduct the study. The committee plans on compiling a report on infrastructure and Human resources of these National Training Colleges of Education. The Secretary said, converting these Training Colleges into degree offering institutes will be conducted based on recommendations made by the Committee.
