Plane lands at BIA with two dead bodies

Colombo (News 1st) - A Lion Air flight landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport this morning with the remains of two deceased persons on board, while another passenger was hospitalized after landing. The flight touched down at the BIA at around 2.45 am. The flight had sought permission to land stating that two passengers onboard, required medical attention. However, the two passengers were deceased by the time the flight reached the BIA. Meanwhile, another passenger onboard the flight was admitted to the Negambo hospital. According to a hospital spokesperson, the passenger is in critical condition. The deceased have been identified as Indonesian nationals, a 64-year-old male and a 74-year-old female. Their remains have also been taken to the Negambo hospital. The flight that took off from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia was flying towards Surabaya, Indonesia.
