One data center for all the registration functions: President Gotabaya Rajapaksa

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Gotabaya Rajapaksa spoke about the importance of collecting people's information by one National Data Centre at a special meeting. The meeting was held at the Presidential Secretariat today. The discussion was held between the President and several senior officials of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology this morning. President pointed out the importance of registration of National Identity Cards, Driving Licenses, Birth and Death certificates and all the information pertaining to the registrations being operated under one centre. According to the President's Media Unit, the President has pointed out that time, labour, and money will be saved by implementing this action and the circulation of false and fraudulent information will be curtailed.
