What symbol will the ruling party use to contest at general elections?

COLOMBO (News 1st):- It is still uncertain, as to, under what symbol the ruling party will contest the upcoming general election? These were some of the comments made by the ruling party on the matter. When journalists questioned State Minister Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene on the matter, he said that they will be contesting under the symbol of the flower bud and that he requests the party to contest for the election under the same symbol as well. Meanwhile, the State Minister of Industries says, that they will discuss the matter when required and reach into a decision on the matter since they have no issues. He further said that they have formed an alliance and also signed the agreement and added that they will go forward as an alliance itself. State Minister of Mahaweli Development, Roshan Ranasinghe says that back then they had joined the chair after they had lost under the symbol of the hand, after which they started loosing under that symbol as well, which is when they changed to the betel leaf, and finally the flower bud. He said that thereby they will contest for the upcoming general election under the flower bud symbol while also adding that conspirators cannot decide on the symbol. Minister Shehan Semasinghe says that although they had various views on the matter, that they have all discussed this with their leader Mahinda Rajapaksa and have arrived at a final decision.
