Colombo (News 1st): The Archbishop of Colombo His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith testified before the presidential commission to look into the April 21st attacks today (December 6). The Archbishop appeared before the commission based on a request to provide evidence.
His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith: We told the commission everything we knew. So the commission will act on that, and they will prepare a report. Until then, we have nothing to do. Journalist: You made a public statement that the investigations were not satisfactory. His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith: We must proceed with what we have. We cannot think of new things, instead of going forward with what we already have. We have handed over this matter to the commission and we expect them to take over the responsibility. We must support them. We can later see their response. Journalist: How long will it take for the final result? His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith: We don't know about that. You should question the respective commission in this regard.
