Special gazette issued to ensure national security : Triforces deployed across the island

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A special gazette notification has been issued for the deployment of Armed Forces for the purpose of maintaining public safety in all districts of the island. This special gazette notification was issued with the signature of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Following the lifting of the State of Emergency after the April 21st attacks, the President summoned the Sri Lanka Army, Navy and Air Force to maintain peace in the country under the Public Security Ordinance. According to the powers vested with the President by the Act, the Armed Forces have been deployed in the 25 Administrative Districts to safeguard public order.
