Showers and thundershowers in several parts of the island

COLOMBO (News 1st) -  The Department of Meteorology stated that several spells of light showers will occur in Northern and Eastern provinces and in the Hambantota district. In addition, showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 pm. Fairly heavy falls about 75-100 mm can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and North-Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.
