Police security for post offices distributing ballot notices

Colombo (News 1st): Police security details were deployed at all Post Offices distributing official ballot notices. The Department of Posts said Police Security was provided to 2192 post offices involved in the process. Department of Posts went on to say, 75% of the official ballot notice distribution process was completed and remainder will be completed before November 9th. An 8000 strong force of postal workers are engaged in process. Department of Posts said that if any person had not received the official ballot notice, one can make an inquiry by visiting the nearest post office.
