COLOMBO(News 1st)-Gas companies say the shortage of gas experienced in the local markets will be addressed in the coming days.
Litro Gas Director Sales and Marketing/Corporate Affairs Janaka Pathirathna speaking to News 1st said Litro Gas is in possession of 4000 metric tonnes of gas and will be importing another 4000 metric tonnes soon.
Laugfs Gas PLC Chairman W.K.H. Wegapitiya speaking to News 1st said in recent days there was a shortage experienced in the local market due to the crisis experienced in the Middle East.
He said, at the moment that gas was being unloaded from a vessel at the Colombo Harbour.
He said the distribution will commence this evening without delay.
