84 complaints on Presidential election in 24 hours - Elections commission

COLOMBO (News 1st):- The National Elections Commission states that 84 complaints have been received with regard to the Presidential elections within the past 24 hours. Chairman of the commission, Mahinda Deshapriya says that 2 complaints with regards to violent acts, 73 complaints with regards to violating the law and nine other complaints have been recorded at the commission within the past 24 hours that ended at 4.30 pm last evening (October 12). 459 complaints have been lodged over a period of four days since the 8th of this month regarding the Presidential election.
